Katie Douglas takes the shot
Yes, that shot. Katie Douglas did a Willis Reed, dragging her injured butt on court and helping her team to a 77-68 Eastern Conference game 2 win over Detroit. Connecticut head coach Mike Thibault said the decision was made about 45 minutes before Saturday's game, but Douglas' mind was made up shortly after agreeing to take the necessary treatment to allow her to play some limited minutes in what would have been an elimination game. Her six points might not have been the margin that allowed her team to play another day, but her presence on court certainly was.
