Carme Lluveras travels to the United States
7/8/2007 Carme Lluveras, general manager of Ciudad Ros Casares, travels to the U.S., where she will personally attend three WNBA games, including the All-Star Game. The objective of her trip is to see first-hand the professional organization of some North American clubs.
Lluveras will be there Monday, July 9, for the game between the New York Liberty and the Sacramento Monarchs. On Tuesday, July 10, the GM for Ciudad Ros Casares will attend a matchup between the Washington Mystics, the team for which DeLisha Milton-Jones plays, and the Minnesota Lynx. On Thursday, July 12, Lluveras will go on to watch the Chicago Sky play the Detroit Shock.
Lluveras’ trip to the U.S. will wrap up on Sunday, July 15, when the GM will personally the All-Star Game, to be played in Washington. After announcing the starting lineups for both divisions, the WNBA will announce the bench players on July 9. Of four Ros Casares players who compete in the WNBA, DeLisha Milton-Jones is the most likely to be selected to play in the All-Star Game.
